Air Valve 04 Double Orifice Air Valve Type B
Double orifice air valve (Type B) for filling, operating and draining water pipelines with reliable air release and intake.
The Type B double orifice air valve combines large and small orifices to evacuate air while a pipeline is being filled, vent air pockets that collect during pressurised operation, and admit air to break vacuum conditions during draining. Built for a nominal pressure of 1.6 MPa with a shell test of 2.4 MPa and seal test of 1.76 MPa, it is rated for water service at temperatures up to 80 degrees C. Flanged to BS EN1092-2 with a face-to-face dimension to DIN2533-PN16, it covers DN50 to DN300 and is tested to BS EN 12266-1.
