Overview

The API 602 Steel Socket Weld Globe Valve is a forged small-bore valve designed for the high-pressure branch, drain and instrument lines found across refineries, power plants and process facilities. Its globe geometry seats a disc squarely onto the seat ring, allowing the flow to be throttled and regulated with good control authority while tolerating the greater pressure drop that distinguishes globe valves from gate valves. The forged body and bolted bonnet provide strength and integrity at elevated pressures, and material options span A105N, LF2, LCB, chrome-moly F11/F22 and F304/F316 stainless. Socket weld ends suit permanent, leak-tight installation. Built to API 602 and tested to API 598.
