Cast Iron Gate Valve
A cast iron gate valve for cost-effective isolation of water, wastewater and other low-pressure utility lines.

The Cast Iron Gate Valve is a gate valve designed for clean on/off isolation rather than throttling, opening to a full bore that gives an unobstructed flow path and a very low pressure drop when wide open. A non-rising or rising stem drives a wedge across the seat to give a tight shut-off, while the body is offered in cast iron (grey iron / ductile iron) to suit a range of media and temperatures from -10°C to 120°C (14°F to 248°F). Built across 2" to 24" and rated pn16 / class 125 to 250, it connects via flanged (flat face) and seals on hard-faced seats for dependable, long-life service. Because the gate must be fully raised or lowered, the valve is intended for fully-open or fully-closed duty and should not be used to regulate flow.
