Overview

The Extended Body Gate Valve is a forged on/off isolation valve in which the body is elongated to accommodate insulation, pipe jacketing or restricted access points without compromising the integrity of the bonnet joint. Like all gate valves it is designed to operate fully open or fully closed and is not intended for throttling. The OS&Y rising stem and flexible wedge deliver positive, bidirectional shut-off across a full-bore flow path, while the bolted-bonnet, forged construction stands up to the elevated pressures and temperatures of refinery and petrochemical service.
