Overview

The Forged Bellow Sealed Gate Valve places a welded metallic bellows around the stem to create a hermetic barrier between the process fluid and the atmosphere, virtually eliminating fugitive stem emissions. This makes it the preferred isolation valve for toxic, flammable or environmentally sensitive media. As a gate valve it is built for on/off duty only, using a flexible wedge and rising stem to seal a full-bore bore, and a back-up gland packing provides a secondary seal should the bellows ever be compromised. Forged construction supports the high pressure classes typical of chemical and refinery service.
