This forged steel flanged globe valve is offered in Class 150, 300 and 600 ratings to suit a wide range of process pressures. The disc seats onto a horizontal seat to give the precise throttling and reliable shut-off that globe valves are known for, while flanged raised-face ends bolt directly into standard piping for quick installation and removal. Forging produces a dense, fine-grained body with strong resistance to pressure and thermal cycling. The linear seating action provides excellent flow regulation in exchange for a higher pressure drop than an equivalent gate valve.
