Ring joint (RTJ) gaskets are solid metal sealing rings, oval or octagonal in section, that seat into machined grooves on RTJ flanges to deliver a reliable seal under high pressure and temperature. Manufactured from soft iron, low-carbon and stainless steels to suit the service, they are widely used on oilfield wellheads, high-pressure pipelines and process flanges.
